Aircraft Information and History - The “Super Guppy Turbine” F-BTGV first flew on the 24th August 1970 under the registration N211AS for “Aero Spacelines” in its original livery. After a year of service, the aircraft was sold and transferred to “Airbus Industrie” and repainted into its Airbus livery in 1971 which stayed until the aircraft was, unfortunately, scrapped. To this day only 5 of these iconic aircraft have been produced with this one being “Number 1” the first one of the production line.
